The financial information and analysis provider Sageworks has released of a major enhancement to the Document Manager for its Sageworks Valuation Solution.
The new feature transforms the web-based file storage system by adding project management functionality. Document collection and management is a critical step in the business valuation process, so providing customers with a sophisticated Document Manager addresses the ongoing challenge of lost or mislabeled documents and lack of a “paper trail” that can help to support a company’s value.
The enhancement introduces time-stamping and a user signature so that a valuation professional can manage and track the delivery of documents across multiple offices and teams. Sageworks’ web-based business valuation platform, adds security and accountability for solution users.
The Document Manager is one of the most significant refreshes to the platform since the valuation solution’s launch. Upon upload, the enhancement automatically stamps all documents with the time of upload, as well as the user’s name. It also offers the option to save each set of documents as a custom template and be reused for future valuations, saving the team time and encouraging repeat valuations from their clients
“Sageworks continues to introduce customer-driven enhancements that allow accountants and business valuation professionals to automate, standardize and simplify their work,” said Brad Spence, vice president of the accounting market at Sageworks. “With the release of Document Manager, we’ve included an additional measure of security and accountability to the Sageworks Valuation Solution.”
